While learning how to do star trails, i decided to set up my camera behind my apartment in the middle of the city to see if that many stars would show up. I was pleasantly surprised.
This is a composite of about 250 images taken over 2 hours at Twin Peaks. I thought about removing the airplane lights, but this is San Francisco, it's busy. The hiker with the headlamp in the foreground was an added bonus, don't remember seeing someone there. The best part of this photos is that my all time favorite band, Tool, is playing at a venue in the shot while I took this. Fortunately I saw them the night before so I didn't miss out.
