While camping at Sunset Beach State Park one night, I looked up and could see part of the Milky Way. I was very excited because this was my first opportunity to shoot it so I immediately set up my camera.
Backpacking the Grand Canyon had been on my bucket list for many years. In March of 2014 I got to check that one off and it was one of the most epic trips I've ever been on. This was taken from our camp site in the Bright Angel campground looking north towards Phantom Ranch.
There isn't much light pollution in southeast New Mexico so it's easy to see millions of stars on a clear night.
